The following details the positions to be voted upon at the Convention and the nominees.

Standing Committee, Class of 2009
One lay member and one clergy person will be elected for a four-year term; one lay member will be elected to fill an unexpired term. The Standing Committee meets monthly with the Bishop and has many canonical responsibilities, including approving candidates for ordination, consenting to the sale or mortgage of church property, investigating allegations of clergy misconduct, and approve the elections of bishops.
El Comité Permanente: se elegirá un miembro laico y un clérigo para un período de cuatro años; se elegirá un laico para desempeñar un período inconcluso.. El Comité Permanente se reúne mensualmente con el Obispo y tiene muchas responsabilidades canónigas, incluida la aprobación de candidatos a ordenación, la aprobación de la venta o hipoteca de propiedades de la iglesia, investigar acusaciones de clérigos por mala conducta y aprobar las elecciones de obispos.

Committee to Elect a Bishop, Class of 2005
One layperson and one clergyperson will be elected for a one-year term. The Committee sets the rules and procedures for the election of a bishop in the event one is needed. Convention elects its members annually so the committee can be constituted if necessary during the year.

Alternate Deputies to General Convention and Provincial Synod
Four clergy and four lay people will be elected as Alternates for the 2006 General Convention and Provincial Synod. In addition to the Provincial Synod meeting in April 2006, the General Convention deputation meets five times prior to Convention. All deputies are expected to be present for the full Synod and General Convention. General Convention will be held June 2006 in Columbus, Ohio.
Directores Suplentes para la Convención General y el Sínodo Provincial: se elegirán cuatro clérigos y cuatro laicos como Suplentes para la Convención General del 2006 y el Sínodo Provincial. Además de la reunión del Sínodo Provincial de abril del 2006, los comisionados de la Convención General se reúnen cinco veces antes de la Convención. Diocesan Council
Six candidates are elected annually to Diocesan Council, each serving a three-year term. Council acts with the Bishop to oversee the mission and program of the diocese, along with submitting the diocesan budget to Convention. Council members are appointed to at least one of the five commissions: Christian Formation, Congregational Development, Congregational Life and Mission, Social Concerns, and Leadership Development, and two committees: Budget/Finance, and Congregational Support. Diocesan Council meets four or five times a year.
Consejo Diocesano: anualmente se eligen seis candidatos para el Consejo Diocesano, para un periodo de tres años cada uno. El Consejo trabaja con el Obispo para supervisar la misión y el plan de la diócesis, así como también, para presentar el presupuesto diocesano a la Convención. Los miembros del Consejo son nombrados, para por lo menos, una de las cinco comisiones: Formación Cristiana, Desarrollo Congregacional, Vida y Misión Congregacional, Asuntos Sociales y Desarrollo de Liderazgo; y dos comités: Presupuesto/Finanzas y Apoyo Congregacional.

Trustees of the Diocese of New York
Diocesan Council nominates candidates for election by diocesan convention and by petition. The Trustees also serve as the Board of Managers. The trustees generally meet six times a year. The term is three years. After serving two consecutive terms, Trustees are ineligible for re-election for two years.

Los administradores también actúan como la Junta de Gerentes. Los administradores, generalmente, se reúnen seis veces al año. El periodo es de tres años. Trustees of the Cathedral, Class of 2007
Diocesan Council proposes candidates for nomination by Diocesan Convention and election by the Cathedral Trustees. Trustees are expected to make a substantial personal financial commitment or have ready access to significant sources of funding to promote the support of the Cathedral’s ministry and mission. In addition a Trustee should have significant business or legal expertise.  The trustees meet quarterly. The term is three years. Each year, Convention nominates three clergy and seven lay candidates.
Administradores de la Iglesia Catedral de St. Juan el Divino: El Consejo Diocesano propone candidatos para la nominación por la Convención Diocesana y elección para Administradores de la Catedral. Se espera que los Administradores, hagan un compromiso financiero personal importante o que tengan fácil acceso a importantes fuentes de apoyo financiero, para impulsar el apoyo al ministerio y la misión de la Catedral. Adicionalmente un Administrador debe tener importante experiencia administrativa o legal. Los Administradores se reúnen trimestralmente. El periodo es de tres años. Cada año, la Convención nomina tres candidatos clérigos y siete laicos.
